Kookaburra Village

Permanent and Tourist Accommodation

Artist's Impression

Designed for, but not exclusive to, retirees and those people who want to escape the rat race and live in comfort.

Freehold title to suit owner/occupiers or investors.

The village services Kingaroy, Wondai, and Murgon but will also appeal to retirees from Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast.

PERMANENT ACCOMMODATION

The idea to construct independent living units was first canvassed by the former mayor of wondai, Percy Iszlaub, together with managing director Peter Griep. The units are specifically designed for, but not exclusive to, retirees and those people who want to escape the rat race and live in comfort.

Statistics show that in the South Burnett Regional Council (Kingaroy, Wondai, Nanango, and Murgon) area there is a demand for 300 people to live in this style of accommodation. The village will also appeal to retirees from Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.

The majority of the units have one bedroom and are specifically designed for elderly people who want independent living in a friendly, care-free fully maintained setting. They are not designed for permanent care, but the Wondai hospital is 300m away and is constructing 46 individual nursing beds to take care of people in need of more permanent care down the track.
